Changes was first released in 1990. Mikeís first solo album, it was the first time Mike had a chance to explore his own direction as artist/songwriter/arranger/producer.

ìWearing all the hats was a big challenge, but it was a wonderful experience. I worked with Engineer/Co-Producer Calum Malcolm, whom I sought out because I was looking for someone to give the recording a pure, natural sound to the production, and had been impressed by his versatility in working with classical, jazz & pop artists (notably with the Blue Nile).

I got to work with some fantastic musicians, the rhythm section being Manu Katche (drums), Pino Palladino (bass) and Dominic Miller (guitar). Although at the time I was disappointed with it in terms of sales, I was and still am proud of what I accomplished, and I am struck by the resonances of some of the lyrics with where I am and with whatís going on in the world today.î

Changes has been unavailable to purchase for some years, however as of 2nd June 2005 80 unsold copies remain available to purchase.Review by Mike
