Mike will be supporting legendary and pioneering drummer/composer Billy Cobham at Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London for three nights, February 18th, 19th & 20th. He will be accompanied by an all star band of special guests, namely Alex Hutchings on guitar, Yolanda Charles on bass, and former Level 42 bandmate Phil Gould on drums. Level 42 are returning to Japan in February 2013 to play 8 shows, following their sell-out success in 2011. They will play Billboard Live Osaka on February 2nd (2 shows), followed by Billboard Live Tokyo on February 4th, 5th & 6th (6 shows). Show and booking details can be found under Appearances. They will be continuing the Running In The Family 25th Anniversary shows that received such great reviews and fan feedback in 2012.

Following a great night in July at the legendary 606 Club in Chelsea, Mike returns with his new line-up on Monday 10th December. He will be playing material from his “On The One” EP, which is now available on CD, supported by an outstanding band featuring Alex Hutchings (guitar), Sumudu (vocals), Tristan Banks (drums) and Johnny Copland (bass). Mike will also be singing new arrangements of Level 42 songs for a forthcoming recording project, plus other unexpected covers from Stevie Wonder and others.

2012 marks the 25th anniversary of Level 42′s Running In The Family Album, and to celebrate, there is a 25th Anniversary Edition Boxset being released on October 8th, including a remastered original album and 12″ mixes, Acoustic re-interpretations by Mark King, the celebrated “Live at Wembley” 1987 DVD, and for the first time on DVD, the “Fait Accompli: Onstage, Offstage, Backstage” documentary which followed the band for a year in 1988. Mike will be joining Mark and the band as they tour the UK, Scandinavia, Italy & Holland starting October 7th, and finishing with a flourish at the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival in Mexico November 23rd.

Mike will be playing live this year with Dominic Miller Band in UK & Europe this April/May, and with Level 42, which kicks off the festival season in Bratislava on May 24th and includes Diamond Jubilee and Olympic themed festivals in Epsom, Isle of Wight and London’s Hyde park, and the year rounds off in the autumn with a full UK and European Tour.
